Gothard, sem dúvidas uma das maiores bandas de hard rock atais, porém desde 2018, um dos guitarristas da banda, no caso, Leo Leoni,  montou um “Projeto Paralelo”chamado CORELEONI que chega ao seu terceiro disco, intitulado “III”,  e sobre esse disco tivemos a oportunidade de entrevistar um dos maiores vocalista de Hard Rock / Metal da atualidade. Seu nome , claro e assim apresentamos a vocês Mr.  Eugent Bushpepa, e falamos sobre vários aspectos de como fazer parte de um nova banda com lendas do estilo e lançar um dos melhores discos do ano.

Eugent Bushpepa – Coreleoni – ) Muito obrigado pelo convite, será bom compartilhar alguns pensamentos com vocês

A ILHA DO METAL – ) Em primeiro lugar, vamos falar de você, você ganhou e teve sucesso em muitos programas de TV se não me engano, e agora você está em banda com músicos que fizeram parte de muitas bandas lendárias.? Como você entrou, e como foram as primeiras sessões de estúdio?? E agora como você se sente?….

Eugent Bushpepa – Coreleoni – ) Você não está errado… minha viagem musical começou há 23 anos em diferentes shows/festivais de TV e trabalho na TV desde 2006 como cantor e diretor musical. Foi em um desses festivais que fui eleito para representar a Albânia no Eurovision Song Contest, do qual Leo Leoni conseguiu a primeira “faísca” a me convidar para uma audição para sua banda CoreLeoni depois de ver minha performance. A primeira sessão de estúdio foi perfeita, criei instantaneamente uma conexão com os caras da banda e gravamos 3 músicas em 4 dias que fazem parte do Novo Álbum CoreLeoni “III”.

A Ilha do Metal – ) Gotthard é um nome importante que sempre vai se conectar com Coreleone, e para você Como foi gravar esses covers? Você tem algum que gostaria de gravar e ainda não aconteceu?

Eugent Bushpepa – Coreleoni – ) Eu sempre amei Gotthard… ainda amo. Desde 2006 eu ouço muitos de seus álbuns e Steve Lee é um dos meus cantores favoritos de todos os tempos, então para mim gravar essas músicas do Gotthard foi um tributo/nostalgia que me fez voltar no tempo para quando eu era jovem e quando eu costumava treinar vocalmente com a voz de Steve. Say Goodbye era o que eu estava ansioso para cantar e os caras foram tão gentis em me deixar cantar 😉

A ILHA DO METAL -)Depois da Pandemia vocês lançam esse disco incrível chamado “III”, como foram os primeiros shows depois desses anos?

Eugent Bushpepa – Coreleoni – ) Obrigado pelas palavras gentis sobre o disco. Adoramos cada minuto no palco… tínhamos muita energia acumulada e nos orgulhamos de compartilhar cada minuto das novas músicas que gravamos, no palco. Parecia que a satisfação das pessoas também estava empolgada após essa era da Pandemia… então foi duplamente divertido.

A ILHA DO METAL -) Hard Rock é o meu estilo de vida, mas hoje em dia, às vezes se fala que é um estilo para velhos, porque às vezes é difícil tocar em Rádios e esses etc… que você sabe… Como fazer aquele sucesso que tinha acontecer de novo nestes novos dias?

Eugent Bushpepa – Coreleoni – )Acho que Rock é uma forma de viver. Se for feito visando apenas o sucesso, será uma piada. É bom ter sucesso, mas você tem que ganhá-lo e é claro que essas músicas mainstream que estão no ar hoje em dia estão empurrando o Rock um pouco mais para longe na atmosfera musical, mas graças a Deus sempre há pessoas que gostam de música de verdade, então aguentemos com o que mais gostamos de fazer e se conseguirmos tocar o coração, a alma e a mente de alguém, o sucesso virá quando chegar a hora

A ILHA DO METAL -) Ouvindo esse novo lançamento, tem 3 músicas, Wake up Call, Sick and Tired e What you love, que parece ser muito difícil de cantar, essas 3 músicas ao vivo, elas estarão no Set list??

Eugent Bushpepa – Coreleoni – ) Agora claro que vão! Serei capaz de cantá-las ao vivo, quem sabe (risos..)…to brincando. Eu amo sair da minha zona de conforto musicalmente falando e a beleza de fazer álbuns de estúdio é a necessidade de expressá-los ao vivo da melhor maneira possível.

A ILHA DO METAL -) Guilt under Pressure tem um riff e refrão que me lembra ZZ top, é como uma celebração para eles?

Eugent Bushpepa – Coreleoni – ) Hmmm… essa música foi escrita em colaboração com um dos melhores compositores da cena rock e não só, Francis Rossi, duvido que seja uma celebração ao ZZ Top, mas todos nós temos nossas influências inconscientes… então quem sabe

A ILHA DO METAL -) No passado nos shows do Coreleone tem muito material do Gotthard, vocês vão manter ou tentar focar nesse novo material? E o que você acha que as pessoas vão ao show só para ouvir os clássicos (essa situação me entedia)??

Eugent Bushpepa – Coreleoni – ) As músicas do Gotthard são ótimas e muito divertidas de tocar, mas como você vê no álbum III CoreLeoni estão começando a se mover para uma nova era. Se fosse por mim, sempre adoraria incluir músicas do Gotthard em nossos shows, mas veremos o que decidiremos, como banda, para o futuro.

Thanks a lot for the invite, it’ll be nice sharing some thoughts with you guys

A ILHA DO METAL – ) First, let’s talk about you, You win and had success in a lot of TV Music Shows if I am not wrong, and now you are on band with musicians that made part of a lot legendary Bands.? How you joined, and how was the first studio sessions?? And now how do you feel ?….

Eugent Bushpepa -) You’re not wrong…my music voyage started 23 years ago in different Tv shows/festivals and i’ve been working on Tv since 2006 as a singer and as a musical director. It was on one of these festivals that i got elected to represent Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest, from which Leo Leoni got the first “spark” to invite me for an audition for his band CoreLeoni after seeing my perfomance. The first studio session was perfect, I instantly created a connection with the guys of the Band and we recorded 3 songs in 4 days wich are part of the New CoreLeoni Album “III”.

A Ilha do Metal – ) Gotthard is an important name that aways will be connect with Coreleone, and for you How was record those cover songs? Dou you have one that would like to record and not happen yet?

Eugent Bushpepa -) I always loved Gotthard…still do. Since 2006 i have listened to a lot of their albums and Steve Lee is one of my all time favorite singer, so for me recording these Gotthard songs was a tribute/nostalgia that even got me back in time to when i was young and when i used to train vocally with Steve’s voice. Say Goodbye was the one i was looking forward to sing and the guys were so kind to let me sing it 😉

A ILHA DO METAL -)After the Pandemic you release this amazing record called “III”, how was the first concerts after this years?

Eugent Bushpepa -) Thanks for the kind words on the Record

Eugent Bushpepa -) We loved every minute being on stage…we had a lot energy accumulated and we were proud to share every minute of the new songs we recorded, on stage. It looked like the satisfaction of the people was hyped too after this Pandemic era…so it was double fun.

 A ILHA DO METAL -)  Hard Rock is my life style, but today, sometimes is said like is na style for old people, because sometimes is dificult to play in Radios and those etc… that yoy Know… How get success happen with this kind of Situation?

Eugent Bushpepa -) I think Rock it’s a way of living. If it’s done aiming only for success it’ll be a Charade. It’s good to have success but you have to earn it and of course these mainstream type of songs going on air nowadays are pushing Rock a bit further away in the musical atmosphere but thanks God there are always people who enjoy real music, so we hang on with what we love to do most and if we’re able to touch anyone’s heart, soul and mind, success will come when time comes

A ILHA DO METAL -)  Listen this new release, has 3 songs, Wake up Call, Sick and Tired and What you love, that looks like is very dificult to sing, this 3 songs will be on Set list??

Eugent Bushpepa -) Of course they will! Will i be able to sing them live, who knows J…just joking.

Eugent Bushpepa -) I love getting out of my comfort zone musically speaking and the beauty of doing studio albums is the need to express them live the best way possible.

A ILHA DO METAL -)  Guilt under Pressure has na Riff and chorrus that reminds me ZZ top, It’ like a celebrattion to them?

Eugent Bushpepa -) Hmmm…that song was written in collaboration with one of the best songwritters in the rock music scene and not only, Francis Rossi, i doubt it’s a celebration to ZZ Top but we all have our unconscient influences…who knows

A ILHA DO METAL -)  In the past in Coreleone concerts has a lot of Gotthard material, do you will keep or try to focus in this new material? And What do you think about that people goes to the show just to listen the classics (This situation bored me)??

Eugent Bushpepa -) Gotthard tunes are great and very fun to play but as you see in the album III CoreLeoni are starting to move towards a new era.

Eugent Bushpepa -) If it was for me i would always love to include Gotthard songs in our shows but we’ll see what we will decide, as a band, for the future.
