Scarlet Anger, a banda revelação do Thrash Metal Mundial nos concedeu uma entrevista exclusiva com o vocalista Joe Block falando da cena local em seu país (Luxemburgo) , das expectativas de tocar no Extremefest, da participação de Jeff Waters (Anihillator) em seu ábum Dark Reign, bem como origem, influências planos e toda aqueles etc… das entrevistas.

A ILHA DO METAL) Bem a nosso site que o nome significa A Ilha do Metal, primeiramente obrigado pela entrevista e gostaria que você introduzisse a banda e nos contasse como surgiu o Scarlet Anger?

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger –  Bem vindo meu amigo! Scarlet Anger foi fundado em 2007 por mim e nosso guitarrista Fred Molitor Somos amigos desde a infancia e ja tocamos juntos em outras bandas antes do Scarlet Anger. Com o tempo criamos uma verdadeira banda de Metal, o Scarlet Anger. Agora nossa banda é: Joe Block (eu) nos vocais, Fred Molitor e Jeff Buchette nas guitarras, Alain Flammang como batera e Vince Niclou, como baixista. Estamos com esses membros há mais de 3 anos.

A ILHA DO METAL) Vocês são uma banda de Thrash Metal de Luxemburgo. Como é a cena em seu país?

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -A Cena Metal de Luxemburgo é bem grande comparada ao tamanho de nosso país, temos muitas bandas de Metal ! Existem grandes bandas de Metal como o Desdemonia, Abstract Rapture,… agora também existe muitas bandas de Metalcore. Existem boas bandas em todos os estilos de Metal!

A ILHA DO METAL) O novo álbum Dark Reign  é algo extraordinário, na primeira ouvida parece um Thrash Old school, mas tem muitos elementos do thrash atual neste lançamento, uma grande inovação eu achei,porque quase todas as canções você pode cantar junto com o público com um refrão pegajoso. Como foi a composição do álbum? O que  Jeff Waters do Anihillator ajudou neste lançamento? O Anihillator fez uma das melhores shows ano passado e esperamos que eles voltem logo e tragam vocês junto na apresentação.?

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -Nos todos sabemos o quanto Jeff Waters é perfeccionista e profissional!Ele tem muita experiência em masterização com os albuns de sua banda, o  Annihilator e também outras bandas! Um dia nós contactamos ele e ele queria que nós enviássemos uma música para ele4 escutár e então nos respondeu,Muito bom ver aquelas canções matadoras.” Ficou claro que ele queria o trabalho e claro que ele ajudou e trabalhou duro para conseguirmos o som que estavamos procurando.

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -Mas nosso guitarrista Fred fez a maioria das coisas  Dark Reign, tanto  a gravaçao, mixagem e arte final do Dark Reign, Ele fez um trabalho magnífico.

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -E claro seria foda tocar no Brasil. Seria grandioso.

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -Os fãs brasileiros são muito viciados no Heavy Metal,é como uma religião. Seria bom sentir essa paixão. nós amamos muitos nossos fãs brasileiros.

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -Será uma honra dividir o pouco com essas grandes bandas!

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -Claro que terão muitos Metalheads, e tocar lá para eles será incrível! E também será um bom meio para divulgaçao nossa na mídia (radios, mags, etc)

A ILHA DO METAL) Welcome to Site A Ilha do Metal that means The Metal Island . First thanks for the interview and would like you introduce the band and tell us how Scarlet Anger was born?

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -Welcome my Friend! Scarlet Anger was founded in 2007 by our guitarist Fred Molitor and me. We have been friends since childhood and played together in other bands before Scarlet Anger. But then the time came to start a real metal band – that was how Scarlet Anger was born. Right now, the lineup is: Joe Block (me) as vocalist, Fred Molitor and Jeff Buchette as guitarists, Alain Flammang as drummer Vince Niclou, as bass guitarist. We are playing with this lineup for 3 years now.

A ILHA DO METAL) you are a luxembourgish Thrash Metal band, and How was the metal scene in your country?

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -The metal scene in Luxembourg is quite big compared to the size of the country, we have a lot of metal bands! There are some great bands like Desdemonia, Abstract Rapture,… At the moment there exists also a lot of Metalcore bands. So there are bands for every type of metal!

 A ILHA DO METAL)  The new album Dark Reign is something extraordinary, at first seemed to be a thrash old school, but has many atual thrash in this release, na good innovation I think, because almost all the songs you can sing along with your crowd . How was the composition of this album? What Jeff Waters from Anihillator, help you in this release? Anihillator did one of best concerts last year Hope they came bac and bring you to Brasil with Anihillator.

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -We all know that Jeff is a perfectionist and pro! He got a lot of experience in mastering while mastering albums of his band Annihilator and other bands! So one day we contacted him and he wanted us to send him a song, so he could listen to it, his reply was “nice to hear those killer songs and great mixes” It was clear that he wanted to do the job and it was really nice to work with him! He helped us a lot to get the sound we were looking for.

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -But Fred (Guitars) did the most things from Dark Reign by himself, the recording, mixing, and the artwork for Dark Reign, he did an awesome job.

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -And yes, would be fucking great to play in Brazil. Would be amazing!

A ILHA DO METAL) I saw on your official Facebook page that the new album is coming, what can you tell us about the diference between the excellent Dark Reignand next release? Already has a Name new album?

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -At the moment we are writing new songs in our studio. 2-3 songs are still finished!

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -I promise you the new album will be mind blowing! Be prepared!

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -The release is scheduled for the end of 2013.

A ILHA DO METAL) The symbol of your band is a clown, maybe a killer, The clown has a name? what he means?

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -Our clown is a demon, and it came from hell to reign on earth!! Dark Reign.

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -Since our first EP the clown was on the Cover, so it is a tradition!

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -But we don’t have a name for it!

A ILHA DO METAL) What do you know about Brazil and the Brazilian Metal Music you know?

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -Their is a huge Metal scene in Brazil. A lot of Thrashers. And a lot of good and great Festivals.

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -The Brazilian fans are really addicted in metalmusic, it’s like their religion. It’s great to see their passion. We fucking love brazilian Fans

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -And Of course we know Bands like Sepultura, or Violator. They are fucking gods!

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -Perhaps we could play sometimes we them in Brazil, when Fans are asking for us, we will come!

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -Thanks Marcos, Stupid Boy was the very first song we recorded in 2007, so we decided, for our 5th years anniversary to rerecorded the song.

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -The Extremefest is an amazing Festival over 3 days. With bands like Behemoth, Kataklysm, Legion of the Damned, Tankard a.m.m! They are really big Bands!

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -It’s an honor for us to share the stage which such big bands!

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -Of course their will be a lot of Metalheads, and to perform for them will be fucking awesome! It is also a good Festival to get in touch with important Medias (radios, mags, etc)

Joe Block from Scarlet Anger -We wanna play a lot of concerts in 2013, and their will be our new album, we wanna kick ass in 2013!
